Re: domain name with xchange server

Add-remove programs, or run Exchange setup and select "uninstall"

But there appears to be something behind the scenes that you are not telling us -- how about the full picture and maybe you can get some proper help

OK, if you have any mailboxes you cannot uninstall -- you will need to mail disable any users first

Can you post a screenshot showing the error?

But why do you want to uninstall?

You've got me stumped -- but I'm sure Sembee will have the definitive answer when he passes by

Have you tried a reinstall of Exchange to repair any errors?

Uninstall should be a very easy process (but clearly not in your case)

              Re: How to Uninstall Exchange

The account that was used to install Exchange will be mail enabled, so will need to have its mailbox removed before the product can be uninstalled correctly.
If you are stuck between an installed and uninstalled product, then you can see if you can reinstall on top of the existing installation.
You could also look on Microsoft.com for the instructions on manually removing the product.

I have removed the attachment, as a Word document is a security risk.

Second time -- please DO NOT post word documents as they may contain viruses

There are tools to remove "orphaned" entries in add/remove programs
                          will help you find one

My system having 2 GB RAM with intel p4 2.4 processor and taking around 20-25 minutes for shutdown.
so, can you tell me how much time it takes generally for shutdown (exchange sever with win 2003 server enterprise edition) ?
