  • Export/Import recipient policies

    Hi all,

I preparing an Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 migration for a customer. But there is a problem with the existing Exchange 2003 recipient policies. These policeis are blocking the installation of the Exchange 2010 mailbox server role. Now the idea is to export all recipient policies, perform the Exchange 2010 mailbox server role installation, and than restore the old recipient policies again.

Does any of you guys know a way to export, and import (restore) the recipient policies? I have gooled around, and saw someone proposed to use LDIFDE. But how to re-import these policies is still unclear.

    Re: Export/Import recipient policies

The usual reason the policies stop the upgrade is because they are being used for mailbox management. That functionality has been split in Exchange 2010 and has to be configured manually.
