  • OWA Front-End

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction with trying to get OWA working. Recently we had a crash, built a new Exch 2003 Std SP2 server on Windows 2003 Ent SP2. That seems to be working well and stable.

Now, we'd like to put a Front-End server in for OWA. So we built up a new Exchange 2003 Std SP2 server on Windows 2003 Std Sp2. Enabled "This is a front-end server", disabled stores on the front-end, enabled FBA, and SSL. Currently its on the same LAN as the Back-end just for testing so there are no firewall issues.

We can bring up the OWA login page, enter name and password, but get "Webpage cannot be found". I've followed the pages below to try to get this to work, but no joy.

https://localhost/exchange - on server - get login page, attempt login, get "webpage cannot be displayed"
https://servername/exchange - on clients - get login page, attempt login, get "webpage cannot be displayed"

Both servers are brand new installs, running Win 2K3 SP2 and Exchange Std SP2. DNS works and resolves names fine.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks!

    *****EDIT*****
I solved the issue. IIS on the backend was misconfigured. Mods, feel free to delete if you so choose.

    Thank you.
