  • Primary Email address automatically changing

    Guys,

we have exchange 2003 running on win2k. This morning when I arrived pretty much all my users email addresses changed from [email protected] to [email protected]

I have checked the Recipient policy and within the default policy there are 2 email address policy's set:

    SMTP @domain.com
    X400 blah blah blah

If I recall X400 is a lgacy system which is automatically installed by default - yes / no?

Anyone know why my email addresses suddenly changed?

    Thanks

Re: Primary Email address automatically changing

Is the recipient policy set to [email protected] or [email protected]

If this has been changed it doesn't do it automatically so I would start to look at your Admins.

There is no recipient policy for [email protected]. This is added when the user account is created and set to primary.

the only recipient policy is the X400 one and the SMTP @domain.com which I assume uses your default alias - [email protected]
