  • Which Domain of the two should i point the future SSL OWA certificate

    Hiall
I have a best practice question here ,
can someone tell me to which of my two subdomains to point my SSL certificate . the certificate will be used for Exchange 2003 mobile connectivity , mobile phones , OWA and RPC O HTTPS .
currently my firm uses two public static IPs , one for the MX pointed to mail realy box in DMZ , and one for OWA which is a single exchange server that my firewall port forwording it in/out

My question is what should be the best practice for the SSL Certificate to be defined

since my current setting is based on comodo cert. pointed to the OWA i have big issues ( i believe ) and disconnections with nokia E71 mail for exchange .

so it is either the Comodo Cert. is not good enough forthe job or there is a best practice i did not use in definning my certificate to the external "leg" of the OWA.

What is it going to be ?
    thanks in advance

On Exchange 2003 it doesn't matter.
With Exchange 2007 or higher then things would be different.
The host name that you want to use is the one that the users will connect to, so that will not be the MX record host name.

All you need to ensure is that things resolve to the correct place. Exchange doesn't care how.
