  • Information store mounting

    Hi
As luck would have it off on holiday Wednesday.
Have a problem with a windows 2000 server running exchange 2000.
After the xmas break there is no email and when I startup system manager
I see that the two parts of the information store have red arrows on them.
I right click allows me the option of Mount but that gives an error message
of restart Exchange system Manager and/or Microsft exchange system manager.
I've gone into services and stopped and restarted everything relating to
Microsoft Exchange but the fault is still there.
I've rebooted the server but that does not work. As 2000 server has no
ssssystem restore would appreciate some help
    thanks
    Ian

    Re: Information store mounting

Exchange doesn't fail to mount without making a lot of noise about it, so you need to go through the event viewer to see what has happened.

I presume you have checked the obvious things like disk space and the size of the store?

    Simon.

        Hi

thanks the SCSI interface reported 0 space whilst 2000 indicated loads. Removed the scsci card and reseated connections . Windows now sees space and exchange up and running.

        thanks again
