    Dear Technical Experts

    Iam unable to Login to my POP3 Account....It keeps me |Prompting UN/P
    I have an Exchange 2003 with sp2...I had checked all the settings arnd found it to be perfect,maybe im missing something,Pls guide me ...

    The following Event is Logged on Eventviewer...

    Event ID 1011
    Source:POP3SVC
    error:
    Authentication attempt from **************has failed with error 0x478.

    Kindly help me solve this issue..

    Is POP access enabled on the exchange box?

    Can anyone else in the organisation use POP?

      What format are you using for the username?

      It should be either

      [email protected] or

      domain\username\alias

      Or preferably not using POP3 at all.
