  • Access Denied LDAP Provider 80070005 Exchange System Manager

    Hi all,

I encountered the above mentioned error message when I checked "This database can be overwritten by a restore" and click on the OK/Apply button.
The NT Account used to perform this action has Enterprise Admin, Exchange Full Admin rights.

    I have attached the screenshot.

    The system is running:-
    OS: Window Server 2003
    Exchange: Exchange Server 2003

I have did a offline full backup of the Exchange Server database stores and logs. Now I am trying to restore it back. Based on online info, it is required to checked "This database can be overwritten by a restore" then dismount the Mailbox store before we proceed ahead with the restore.

Thanks in advance for your help and your time!

do you have the appropriate permissions delegated ? in addition to this - do you have some weird nesting going on, where you might have a denial permission ?

      Hi tehcamel,

      Thanks for your reply.

I have the correct delegate to the user account which has Exchange Full Administrator right. This should have all the necessary permissions.

Not to my knowledge though. I have gone through the link, but not much help.
