  • Setup OWA and SSL Connection to Server

    Hi everyone,

    Here is my question:

Im pretty new to exchange, now i have installed it normally, eg domain.com/echange , how can i have it so that if i use owa, the uses would use
    mail.domain.com to get to owa?

i am hosting the email server here at home, and godaddy are providing me with my domain, and i have got a ssl certificate for this wich is also thogh godaddy.

I hope ive given enough info here....

    Thanks Guys

    Re: Exchange help Please

Depending on your naming convention, you probably just need to open port 80 in your firewall to your exchange server.

That is assuming you already have an A record called mail.domain.com and have your mx record pointing to it for you to receive email. From there.. mail.domain.com should already be pointing to your server.. just open port 80 to your server.....

Port 443 unless you have changed the default OWA settings to require security (and since you have a cert, you wont have)

Enable forms based authentication in ESM. And import the SSL cert into IIS. Open 443 on your firewall to point to your Exchange and thats it.

Question title adjusted to be more descriptive.
