  • OWA Buttons stopped working

Something very strange happened in a customer of mine:

Suddenly all the menu buttons and the directory of OWA stopped working on Internet Explorer

You still have all the Inbox functionality: you can create mails, answer to mails, etc, everything that uses the upper toolbox works.

But when you try to click on another library at the folders tree, or you try to press one of the big-blue buttons (calendar, contacts, options, etc), they do nothing.

In Firefox, everything looks fine. But if you try to change the firefox engine to Internet Explorer it stops working as well.

    What can that be???

    TIA

    Helio

Ensure the server is fully patched.
    Otherwise reset the virtual directories.

      Hi,

      Server is fully patched.

Did the reset of the virtual folders, and that solved the problems for computers inside the network.

However, for computers outside, the problems stay the same.

Funny thing, the logs show return codes 200 0 0 (I suppose success) in both cases.

For the outside, the server is published by a mail relay over Linux doing reverse proxy.

Can you bypass the Linux server? As far as Exchange is concerned, there is no difference between internal and external traffic. Therefore if it works for internal traffic then it would work for external traffic. You have to look at what is between Exchange and the users.

          Re: OWA Buttons stopped working

          Hi, Simon,

          Thanks for trying to help.

At the end your previous suggestion (resetting the folders) was the solution for the problem, and my problem at the outside computers was coming from the fact that they were using some kind of cache. At the moment I did a refresh they began to work...... strange, but at least this is solved.
