  • Setting up MX record

    Hello

i am wondering if someone could explain how i can get e-mail traffic coming into my server

i have never done this from scratch...

i can get the exchange server up fine

but i need the hosting for mail.testemail.co.uk

who is the best host to go for? and what should i be looking for?

at my old smaller company they used pop3 on a SBS and you had to add your account on the server and again on the hosting website to receive e-mails which was a complete waste of time and do a send/receive to push/pull e-mails to the users

at this new company they are routed straight to the mail server from their host - i would just like to know what kind of hosting this is

    if this all makes sense

    cheers

    Re: Setting up MX record

In order to properly configure your domain's MX Record you should contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or the party responsible for hosting your DNS Domain name. They will ask you for your FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) and IP address of your mail server. Make sure you know them.
