  • Exchange 2003 restored using DR, now system manager isn't installed

    Good day,
I recovered a public folder server using the /disasterrecovery /chooseDC switches. Unfortunately I have already service packed and patched my W2k3 server with SP1 after installing Exch 2003 and SP2. System manager did not appear in the programs menu.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to install?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Run setup again and install it. It is a seperate component. Then reinstall the service packs.

    Simon.

      Thank you Simon,
I am hesitant to reinstall Exchange because Windows SP1 is already installed and there is a compatibility issue with that. I have a feeling I will need to rebuild the server again.

        Hi Simon,
I took your advise, worked like a charm. I just had to get over the incompatibility messages.

Everyone gets the compatibility prompt with Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 SP1 or higher. It is nothing unique to you. If you follow the prompts you will it is something very obscure.
