  • Problem mounting Mailbox Store

    Hi there,

Right, i'm kinda desperate over here at the moment.

Not having an actual backup of my server, the worst scenario happend.
    The server crashed!

I know i know, my own fault.

Now, i've managed to get the server running again, but now i keep getting the following error in my eventviewer:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: MSExchangeSA
    Event Category: MAPI Session
    Event ID: 9175
    Date: 1-7-2005
    Time: 15:56:43
    User: N/A
    Computer: P4MAIL
    Description:
The MAPI call 'OpenMsgStore' failed with the following error:
The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintenance.
    The MAPI provider failed.
    Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store
    ID no: 8004011d-0526-00000000

    For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
I figured out as much that my store database is corrupt.

Now i was wondering if there is a way so this can be fixed.

I just hope that someone can give me a responce on this asap.
I promisse i will get my backup up and running asap as well

Thank you for reading and kind regards,

    Jorge Valencia

The 16GB limit can be increased to 17GB on Exchange 2000

      Go to %programfiles%\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA
if the size of priv1.edb and priv1.stm is over 16GB
      Go to http://hellomate.typepad.com/exchang...ge_standa.html

you will probably have to use eseutil from <workingdir>\exchsrvr\bin to repair\recover your databases.
