  • Changing default e-mail address format

I need to change our e-mail addresses from [email protected] to [email protected] We want to have the new format be primary right away, but we want to keep the original format as a secondary for a period of time, so users will still receive mail addressed to the old address.

I know the variables I want would be %g.%s. Is that all I would put in the new SMTP, or would I need to put %g.%[email protected]?

Would I want to edit the default recipient policy and just add the new SMTP format, or would I need to create a new recipient policy?

Re: Changing default e-mail address format

Use the default recipient policy and add a new SMTP address to it. Use %g.%[email protected] Make sure to set it as the primary. The users by default will all keep their current email addresses and get the new one as their primary address.
