  • Exchange Mail Folder Redirection

    Hi all,

    well, i want to b able to back up the mail of the users Locally on there computer as well as on the mail server, that in case of a server crash the outlook will go to the local backup of the mail...

    is it possible to configure the exchange to do keep the mail locally & on the server in the same time , if it possible , how can i configure it to do so...

    you can enable ost files on the clients

    in case of crash you can convert the ost to pst and then import it to the mailbox.

    remember that you lose single instance

    anyway the best way is to back it up using tape and backup software

      Do you have backups for exchange server?
      The users mailbox are important but if your system goes down and you do not have any kind of backup you will get in trouble as well even if you have backed up the mail locally on each client.

        but understand...

        right now i DONT HAVE ANY BACKUP AT ALL of the server...

        the echange server is even my DC so i dont know how to backup it well

        is a normal backup in NTbackup lets say is as effective as Normal backup in ARCServe lets say...

        and more important... is Normal backup is usfull like server imaging or not?

        know its a lot of question ... even off subject a littel but im trying to understand what is the smartest pattren of work for me to addopt.
