  • Deleting Public Folders..

We have a bunch of old and unused public folders out on our Exchange 2003 server. Why is it so hard to find instructions on how to delete a public folder from System Manger?

    Anyways.....any directions out there?

You can add rights via ESM or if you are bulk doing it then download PFDavAdmin as you can push rights down using that.

i was going to dismount our public folder store all together as we aren't lanning on using PF, the ni realised i need them for Free/Busy.. so they stay.. and i've just denied permissions to create

(sorry, totally offtopic.. mostly.. just wanted to make sure you don't completely delete all the folders)

if i go to System Mgr:

                  admin group/name/servers/servername/first storage group/public folder store/public folder:

If i right click on the folder - my only option is "properties" or "help".

                    Re: Deleting Public Folders..

Just for the picture but are you looking in this folder bit:
                    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...EXCHG.65).aspx

If you can't see it then right click the First Organisation bit and there are two tick boxes there, from memory as I can't get to one right now.
                    cheers

You need to delete it from admin group/name/folders/public folders

when i go that route I get an error:

The token supplied to the function is invalid:

Just out of interest how many virtual directories does your IIS show? Do you have one with just the default website and asp client folder?
                            cheers

I think I might have figured something out......I installed a 3rd party ssl cert quite awhile back from godaddy for SSL for use on our Windows Mobile Phones so we can use HTTPS. It's https:\\mail.domain.com.

By following Q324345 will that mess up all my Mobile Phones?
