Configure the SMTP server for authenticated relaying.

      Hi,
Thanks for your advice. But when I configured like that, the error change to
"the following recipient(s) can not be reached"

      Please give me more detail.
I added the Domain users and permit relay.

In your email client, you have to configure authentication for the outgoing server (SMTP). Have you done that? If you did, make sure to use the same username as for the incoming (POP3) server.

IMHO, take a step back and ask yourself (or others) the question:
Why do I want POP3 clients in an Exchange environment?

Since you are 2003, you have Outlook CALs with your Exchange ones
A certificate costs peanuts and RPC/HTTPS is relatively simple to configure

You then gain the richness of the Outlook/Exchange environment and vastly increased security and control

Just out of interest what email clients are being used and "how" are these users accessing Exchange? Is it from the LAN or the WAN? Either way this is a very odd method of accessing exchange. As already said you have the options of RPC over HTTP or even IMAP if that is too much of challenge.

              Hi All,

Thanks you so much for your advices and sorry for my late reply becasue I'm pretty busy tehse days. Actually the problem has already solved. I was just stupid because the problem is not on the server and is only on client configuration. When I configured Authentication for the outgoing(SMTP) server as flipper's advice, everything works fine. Thanks everyone for every advices.
