  • default DC in exchange users and computers

    Hi,

The DC that the "Active directory users and computers" connects is one running across a WAN i can manually change it though it does not save.

Looked online though cannot track down much.

    Any help appreciated.

Map the IP of local DC with the domain name in host file.

    e.g.

    domain.com 192.168.1.1

    But not at all recommended.

Does that DC that it connect to hold any of the FSMO roles? Do you have a local global catalog server?

Site and Services in AD should control which domain controller is used.
