  • Testing- Email Generation

    Hi,
    Is there a way to configure Exchange to automatically generate emails? We are developing a new software in which we need to generate multiple emails to test the system.

    We are performing all of the testing internally with no need to send to the outside world.

    Or, is there a way that either an Exchang eclient or POP3 client could be set up to do this?

    Thanks
    Pete C.

    Are you looking to send an email to everyone to test the box?

    It will ultimately depend what you want but you can write a simple .net app that will loop thru each user in AD and send an email to the address on file.

      Simple VBS script to do just that !!

      Code:
      strComputer = "."

      Count = "0"

      Set objEmail = CreateObject("CDO.Message")

      while Count = "0"
      objEmail.From = "[email protected]"
      objEmail.To = "[email protected]"
      objEmail.Subject = "Test Message"
      objEmail.Textbody = "Test message from IT services"

      objEmail.Configuration.Fields.Item _
          ("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusing") = 2
      objEmail.Configuration.Fields.Item _
          ("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserver") = _
              "exchangeservername"
      objEmail.Configuration.Fields.Item _
          ("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserverport") = 25
      objEmail.Configuration.Fields.Update

      objEmail.Send
      wend
      This just continuously loops, if you don't want this just remove the while and wend lines.

      If you want to send to all recipients just create a Distribution Group and mail that group.

      topper

      P.S. This script was written to Spam the Phising Email idiots who leave their email address in the site source code !!

        Thanks !

        I am new to writing scripts, VBS & .net so this should be an experience

        And yes, all we want to do is blast the server with multiple mails without tryiing to set up hundreds of accounts/clients.

        Thanks again
