  • send as option for contact??

    Hi there,

In the properties of a contact, in the security tab i have the option, to add a user and choose the "send as" option.

For example for contact John Doe with primary email address: [email protected] amd tjem I add a user called Betty with full control and send as permissions.

When i log on as Betty and i want to send an email from the johndoe i get the message that i dont have enough permissions to send from that email address.

Makes me wonder what this option is used for???

The setting is there because it is used for other things in other types of objects. The same set of security options are used. Basically ignore it. It is not a way of allowing Exchange to spoof another email address.

Ok I had a strange feeling it was useless.
So when i want to send from 2 different users (in 2 different domains) i have to create 2 users?)

You will need an account for each email address you want to send as, a contact is not enough.
