  • RPC-HTTP Tab missing

    Hi,

I have tried all the steps till the registry editing application from Harry Bates registry editor RPCNoFrontEnd.

But i dont see the RPC-HTTP tab under the System Manager>Administrative Groups > First Administrative Group > Servers > Properties (Right-click on server name).

Do I have to reboot the server, or have missed out something.

We have a webmail OWA also as a front-End server configured, and also SSL certificate from Equifax, if that is the problem, as its not single server (i guess)

Please guide on this simple issue.

    Thank you.

Did you go direct to SP2?
How old is the server setup?
I believe the tab is there from SP1 onwards. Are you an Exchange Full Admin?
If you install the Exchange management tools on another box does it show then?
        cheers

Yes, I have seen other articles and post, It would be there as Exchange doesn't have any SP.

Now, I want to know, shall i install SP1 then SP2 or go straight with SP2 for exchange 2003?

            Thank you.

You can go straight to SP2. The only caveat is that if you have the IMF installed you need to uninstall it before applying SP2 as the IMF is part of SP2.

Also, do you have the RPC proxy component installed on the server?

                Thanks Joeqwerty,

But Do i Need to Configure RPC-HTTPS proxy setting on my Front-End as the SSL cert is there, not on the Back-End?

Or just follow the RPC-HTTPS guide from this website.

                Thank you.
