  • How to enable pop3

    Dear Techies,

I have an exchange server 2003 SP2 in my Environment and we want to activate the pop3 on this server, because the users are unable to connect from remote locations through OUTLOOK clients. In this case , any ideas on how to enable/install pop3 and what kind of configurations i need to do.

    cheers,
    gowtham

    Re: How to enable pop3

The preferred remote access solution for Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003 or higher is RPC over HTTPS. POP3 is a horrible protocol and should be avoided where possible.

There are instructions on how to enable POP3 on the main site if you look carefully.

    Simon.
