  • is this possible?

without an exchange server in place,
is it possible to create something where a calender entry can be replicated to everyone's calender with outlook 2003

and this is with no exhange. So am guessing its unlikey?

edit:basically the CEO wants a global calendar for all staff to look at and can be added to

    Yes, quite possible.

    Do the following:

    1) Use a computer to open a new empty non-Exchange profile. No need for mail support.

    2) Create the required calendar entries.

    3) Export Calendar to PST.

    4) Use a batch job to copy the PST file multiple times to the same folder, and rename each copy to be exactly as the ALIAS of each intended mailbox.

    5) Use EXMERGE to import these files into the Exchange server.

You can use one of the open source shared calendar solutions, but I see you are already trying to make eGroupWare to work, which can do what you are asking for.
