  • Accessing Other Users Folder Problem

Having a weird issue opening another users mailbox in Outlook 2003 on a E2003 SP2 server. If I give rights to the mailbox following Daniels instructions (http://www.petri.com/grant_full_mail..._2000_2003.htm) to myself I can open the mailbox fine.

If I give the same rights to the mailbox to anyone else, they still get access denied. The only difference I can see is that I'm a domain admin and the others are not.

    Any ideas?

How long did you wait after making the change? Exchange caches permissions and that cache is only flushed every couple of hours. Therefore if you make the change and try it immediately, it usually will not work.

That may have been it, after trying it through Outlook for a couple minutes, the person was able to get into the mailbox via OWA.
