  • Any way to remove domain\username requirement on rpc/https?

It doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but my users, even with picture instructions can't seem to understand the new format. To make my hectic life simpler is there a way to remove this requirement for my remote users?

These are folks that have laptops that belong to our domain already. This is only when they connect remotely.

If the machines are a member of the domain, then enable integrated authentication on the RPC virtual directory and change the clients to use NTLM authentication instead of basic. No prompts at all.

For non-domain members then the prompts must stay, as the client must authenticate. Anything else is a security risk.
