  • What do you use for FE Redundancy

Right now, we've got a couple of BE Exchange 2003 Standard servers with one FE for OWA and ActiveSync. We want to set it up so that those services are more fault tolerant. We don't have heavy load.

I was thinking that two Windows 2003 Enterprise servers in an NBL cluster would be good. I'm not sure yet what will happen if one fails (will the other server pick up the load automatically?).

How would/do you handle this scenario?

    Thanks.

doesn't have to be NLB , you could just put up another FE and use round robin DNS.

Thanks for the reply. Since I posted this, I've tried setting up NLB but I'm having trouble.

In addition to providing feedback on how you're handling FE redundancy, I'd appreciate it if you'd have a look at this thread.

      Thanks.
