  • NLB Exchange 2003 Front End and Bridgehead Servers

    Hi,

I've been searching for a while but can't seem to find the answer to this so far. The Internet Mail Wizard in Exchange 2003 has the following stipulations:
You cannot run the wizard on Exchange servers that:
Are part of a Windows cluster
Are part of a Network Load Balancing cluster
Have multiple network interface cards configured with separate networks in which IP routing is enabled between the networks

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...EXCHG.65).aspx

Is this a limitation of the wizard only?

Would there be any problems with setting up a 4 node NLB for OWA with all servers dealing with inbound/outbound email internally and externally?

The reason for the question is we have a stretched VLAN so could setup 2 servers at each site to provide site and server redundancy.
    cheers
    Andy

The more I think about this, the more I think it is just the wizard. All it does is setup the virtual servers and connectors which can all be manually created and edited.
