  • One user cannot POP

    SBS 2003, with several remote users able to POP their mail, so its not a port open issue, server config issue, etc. ONE user, whose login & password have not only been checked several times, cannot POP. When testing by telnet, after password is entered, we get:

    -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

    Except the SAME username and password works just fine in OWA.

    Have tried using domain/lusername/alias for username, same result (and domain/username NOT needed for OWA).

    In his account, POP is definitely enabled.

    ANY ideas?? Thanks.
