  • Forms Based Authentication and Windows Integrated Authentication

We currently have Exchange 2003 running fine with FBA. Users only have to use there username and password to log in...clean and easy.

We are installing a new Archival server/application that REQUIRES that its virtual directory/public folder use Windows Integrated Authentication.

Is there anyway I can have the best of both worlds?

Switching away from FBA creates a clunky interface for OWA, though I will admit it does work well.

You would just think there is a way to allow OWA to use FBA and others to use WIA.

    Thanks in advance.

In theory, it should be possible. Different IIS websites are often created to allow different authetication methods to the same site or 'entity'.

I am not sure where to start with OWA.

create a second instance of a HTTP virtual server in ESM and set each to match your needs.
