  • Exchange 2003 GAL does does not show recently created users (preview button)

    We are running exchange server 2003 sp2, with outlook 2003 sp2. The offline adress book is not up to date (outlook global adress list is only up to date while outlook cached mode is disabled).

    In the default global adress list in ESM, (recipients\all global adress lists\default global adress list - properties) , while clicking the preview button, the users that have been created recently do not show up. And old deleted users still show up. We tried to find the old users in AD, no trace

    It seems to be the same with different ldap query filters, There is no way to see the new users.

    How can outlook see a correct version of the gal (non cached mode) while the LDAP request in ESM (preview button) is unable to see it?

    Thank you...

    Well it can't. What is the LDAP filter you're using for the address list?

      Thank you for your reply,

      (& (mailnickname=*) (| (&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(!(home MDB=*))(!(msExchHomeServerName=*)))(&(objectCatego ry=person)(objectClass=user)(|(homeMDB=*)(msExchHo meServerName=*)))(&(objectCategory=person)(objectC lass=contact))(objectCategory=group)(objectCategor y=publicFolder) ))

      This one I found on this site, the original one was with

      objectCategory=msExchDynamicDistributionList

        Hello again,
        The results in the preview pane in ESM and the gal in outllok (non cached mode) still don't match... Outlook displays tue accurate information, esm does not. Any Idea would be welcome.
