exachange and Domain name problem

  • exachange and Domain name problem


    when we established our DC we a assigned the DNS name

    but unfortunately our company want the emails to have the domain

    what is your recommendation and how to fix this problem.
    if you know any helpful links please provide it and we wil be so thankful.

    There is no relation between the AD domain name and the domains that Exchange hosts mail for - this is why you can (and are strongly recommended to) use a TLD for your AD which is not valid on the internet. You can have Exchange host mail for a domain with the same name as your AD, or for a completely different domain.

    Point the MX records of the domain to your public IP address, and then make the required configuration change in Exchange.
