  • RPC Unavailable on Exchange Server Using Remote Desktop

    Hello everyone!

I'm a newbie in exchange server 2003, I just hope someone could guide me to this concern. We already A DC in the office and just recently purchase a new Server only for Exchange under Win 2003 Server STD, Ive already done setup on exchange and Win 2003 server, but theres an error everytime if ill remote the said server, it says "RPC Unavailable" but as soon as I restart the server, well its back to normal, I can do remote, and one more thing even though I recieves an error using remote desktop but when I login on the physical server, it works fine.
is theres a problem with my DNS? or firwall perhaps? bt as soon as I restart it, everything is back to normal.
I really appreciate the help, Thank you!

    Is anything logged?
Run the Exchange best practises tool against the server and see what that has to say.
