    If I have SSL already enabled when people connect with OWA 2003, then the link doesn't apply to me.

    Correct?

    That link is referring to something completely different from SSL. Yes SSL encrypts the TCP packet information so that the message can not be easily intercepted. Message signing / encryption actually encryt the contents of the message not the packetized TCP traffic.

      How is the encryption handled when the client uses Outlook?
      Is that from the configuration of the profile?
