  • Missing e-mails

    Hello,
I have a very weird problem. One of my execs is missing 2 weeks worth of e-mails.
from 12/13-12/29. All of the today's e-mails are there and everything from 13th of December and before. But anything in that 2 week pereiod is GONE. She says that she did check her e-mail from home this past weekend (web mail) and everything was there, but as of this morning it's gone. I checked her web mail and it's not their either. She said she did not deleted them or downloaded them somewhere esle.
She said she only checked through web mail.
Any ideas what could have happend ?
Also how complicated mailbox restore proccess and what does it invlioves ?
I do have a back up as of Friday.
We are running Exchange 2003 standart and Outlook2003.
    Thanks

    Re: Missing e-mails

Email does not disappear on its own.

    It has either been
    moved
    deleted
    or hidden.

Therefore check views in Outlook. Ensure that the user hasn't run auto archiving or some other rule. Confirm the user didn't download email using a POP3 client, or a PDA and delete it from there, thinking it was just a copy.

    Simon.
