  • Outlook Mobile Access in LAN

    Hi Gurus
Some of my clients in my network have mobile devices on which they want to check their outlook emails. I have Exchange Server 2003 installed and a Windows Server 2003 domain based network. Can any one guide me how can I achieve this ie. Outlook Mobile Access on my LAN

    Any suggestion welcome...
    thanks
    Always Curious!

If the devices have network connectivity (ie wireless) then all you need is a split DNS configuration so the public DNS name works internally. This ensures that the SSL certificate works.

If the devices do not have network connectivity then you will need to use ActiveSync on the desktop machines to make the connection.

You need to know if the devices have wireless. If they do not then it is a waste of time.
Once you have a way of connecting the devices to your LAN then you need to setup split DNS so that the external name on your SSL certificate works internally as well.
