  • RPC over http set up

    Hello,
I am thinking of setting up RPC over HTTP and have 3 questions.

    1. How complicated is it?
2 Do I need to install SSL (I already have one install for web access)
3 Where can I find simple step by step instructions on how to set it up?

I am running Server 2003, sp 2 with Exchange 2003, sp2 on XP Pro, (SP2-3) machines.

    Thanks

Re: RPC over http set up

    1. How long is a bit of string? It isn't complicated really, just need to follow the instructions however it depends if your install is standard.
    2. You can use the same cert, most people do.
    3. This site if you search the main page or even google. I'm sure you could have done that yourself though.

      Hi,

Alternately you can look into the following articles too and check the test after final deployment outlook /rpcdiag.

It has various senario like if your dc is gc, if exchange is on dc and that is also dc. Running windows server 2003 with service pack or not/ exchange front end/back end. or just backend.

So here is the link. Let me know if it worked for you or not.

This has all the info you need.
