    Hi All,

I am seeking clarification rather than a solution re: Outlook Archives. All users have Outlook in cache mode. I have only one question I hope you can help me with...

Does Archiving emails in Outlook remove them from the Exchange Database/users exchange mailbox or does it simply create a copy of those emails locally on the client PC and leave the emails in the database also?

Thanks for your advice in advance guys/girls

    Re: Outlook Archives

Arching emails moves them from the server to a PST where ever you choose to save it.

      Re: Outlook Archives

A copy would be pointless. The content is removed.
However if you value the content of your email then you don't use PST files. It means the data is almost impossible to backup and you have no idea if the data is corrupt or not.
