  • Exchange small business server 2003

    Hi

I am new to exchange server... I am using small business server 2003. We are using the ISP mail server as our smart host.

If link between my ISP and our office goes down and we have one more link from different ISP. How I configure my exchange server always up to fetch and send mails to my smart host.

If some other solutions are availabe help me to configure my mail server.

You need a dual WAN router.
That way, if the connection fails the router deals with it. Otherwise you will have to manually reconfigure the servers network information manually.

You also want to make sure that the Smart Host will accept communication from the alternative ISP. A different IP address may be allocated on the backup ISP's line and the ISP that has the Smart Host may not accept communication.
