  • Coincidence?

Last week Wednesday I changed the Domain Administrators password, I restarted the server on Thursday and it seems since then I cannot receive email from the outside. I can send email out but not receive. Is it a coincedence or do I have to reset something somenwhere with the new password?

    Re: Coincedence?

unless you had a specific exchange service running as domain admins i would think not? It sounds more like an issue on your receiving SMTP server have you checked all the queues?, easy way to check inbound mail connectivity is to manually test you SMTP server.
    cheers,

      Re: Coincidence?

If you can send email then SMTP is working fine. The problem will be somewhere else. If you haven't had email since Wednesday I am surprised that you have taken this long to notice. You will have lost email by now as most sending servers will only queue email for 48 hours.

However do check the queues to ensure that the email is not sitting on the server and simply hasn't been delivered to the store.
