  • Upgrading to Outlook 2003 some folders created in Hebrew

    Hi,

I have begun rolling out an upgrade to Office 2003 for all my users. Today one of the users got some of the new folder (ie Junk mail, and sync issues) created for them. The folder name comes up as ???? ??? and what not.

So there are 2 quesitons. IS there a way to fix this for the current user. Secondly how do I make sure everything is created in English in the future?

    Thanks,
    Noach Sumner

The folder names are created based upon the locale installed on the client computer, but only if the same locale is installed on the Exchange servers and Global Catalogs.

If the use opens up his mailboxs for the first time, it will create the folder names in the language of that computer.

You can either open up the mailbox for the user and therefore actually set the folder names, or you can force the language. You can also set the language after that if you want.

See my Exchange articles section (on my site) for tips on these issues.
