  • Cannot receive Internet E-mails

Guys I can send internet emails from my domain but cannot receive mails sent from outside our domain or from the internet. our internal AD domain name is the same with our external SMTP domain. Port 25 is open on the firewall to our internal Exchange server. Anyone with solutions to my problem?

Have you tried to telnet from your home computer to the external IP address of your server on port 25?

Tonyyeb, Please show me how to telnet to the external IP address of the Exchange Server. I would appreciate if you could show me how to do that. Thanks.

Some ISPs block port 25 to prevent open relays.

Is your MX record pointing to the right IP Address?

            SMTP relay

be sure and check your smtp auth and relay permissions and/or settings...use dnsreport.com to test connectivity. I've seen this happen numerous times with the default config
