  • Need to set mailbox delivery restrictions through VBscript or VBA.

    Hello,

    I am running Exchange 2000, and have an Excel macro that adds new users and creates their mailboxes. I need to restrict who these new users can receive e-mail from, which we are doing using the Message restrictions area, which is under Delivery Restrictions, which is on the Exchange General tab on the user account properties. We are currently manually populating the 'Accept Messages Only from' box. I would like to do this using the Excel macro or through a VBscript. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Is there a collection of addresses like there is for ProxyAddresses? Can these be added like proxyAddresses are added?

    Code:
                aAddresses = oUser.ProxyAddresses
                ReDim Preserve aAddresses(UBound(aAddresses) + 1)
                aAddresses(UBound(aAddresses)) = "smtp:[email protected]"
                oUser.ProxyAddresses = aAddresses
                oUser.SetInfo
    Are their properties that can be set like storage limits are set?

    Code:
            oUser.Put "mDBUseDefaults", False
            oUser.Put "mDBStorageQuota", 2048
            oUser.Put "mDBOverHardQuotaLimit", 4096
            oUser.SetInfo

    Thanks.
