  • IMAP unable to connect

    My mail server lost power the other day and ever since I cannot connect remotely via IMAP. When using a VPN it works fine. I can connect without the VPN by telnetting to port 143. The server answers and I can successfully log in. Cannot log in using outlook express or, more importantly, my cell phone (which uses a basic imap client). I get an authentication error but have made sure I'm entering the same username/password combo as I do from a command line. Any thoughts?

    Am running Exchange 2000 sp3 on Windows 2000 sp4.
