  • 1 User two email addresses

    Hi there,

This is kinda a lame question but I am unsure how to do it.

I have a user on AD with an assigned email on the domain, e.g. [email protected]

Is it possible to create a new mailbox for that user with : [email protected]

I know how to create another alias, but the user would like to have a separate mailbox instead, so he can keep all incoming emails separate.

    Is this possible in exchange?

Exchange server is 2000 running on windows 2000 server.

    Thanks.

Re: 1 User two email addresses

You can create a new mailbox for a new user account, give them full access and add it as a second mailbox in Outlook but if they want to send from it they would have to use the From field.

Alternatively you could setup Outlook rules to move emails sent to the Alias address.
    cheers

Now on outlook of the orginial user that wanted an extra email, I tried adding the new account into it, but it wont let me use two exchange emails, not sure how to do what you said on your reply

Would you be so kind to guide me through it please?

      Thanks very much.
