  • publish exchange 2003 OWA in ISA 2006

    Hello, im stuck on this.

I want OWA to be available from internet.
In local network everything is ok. When i type 10.0.0.3/echange (10.0.0.3 is my exchange server) everything works.

Now i want user to can open there emails when type owa.mydomain.com or owa.mydomain.com/exchange.

I try to publish owa in isa 2006 but it dosent work. Result is under construction or page cannot be found.

I dont know where is my fault.

    Thanks.

Wow, so many possible reasons. First, are you NAT'ing a public ip address to the internal ip address of your Exchange server? Second, do you have a rule that allows HTTP and/or HTTPS traffic to your Exchange server from the outside?

Do you have forms based auth enabled on the Exchange?

Are the appropriate ports open and being forwarded on the router?

Yes i try. even the ip adress is like mine

Did i must create dns record for owa.domain.com or not?

I try with created one and the result is site under construction. But i think this is the IIS of where is my ISA not the exchange one.

                I'm continue trying.

You think or you know it's IIS on ISA and not Exchange? Here's how you can be sure: place a "custom" default.htm file in the root directory of your Exchange wwwroot folder and then try again. If you get the "custom" page then you know it is getting to your Exchange server. If you don't get the "custom" page then it isn't getting to your Exchange server. If you get the "custom" page then you're all set except for making /exchange the default web site.

Are you accessing the virtual folder?
What does the IIS logging says?

Unfortunately i open the IIS of the ISA server. When i remove dns record: server not found. Unfortunately the publishing don't work. I will try with manual port redirection.
