  • Can't send mail with Windows Mobile outside domain

I've got a strange issue between Windows Mobile 6 and Exchange 2003 on a SBS 2003 server. This issue occurs with all users on the domain.

The Windows Mobile phone is connected to the server via ActiveSync (OMA). All syncs work fine. Contacts, Tasks, Calendar and Mail work fine. Mail received by Exchange is also delivered to the phone.
There are no issues when I send an email with the phone to any internal adres (domain.local). When I send an email to any other domain it appears to send this email regularly but it never delivers the message. The email is visible in my Send Items in Outlook or in OWA. If I send an email to the same mailadresses via Outlook or OWA the mail is delivered as it should.

The Small Business SMTP Connector forwards all email to an external SMTP server. According to the logs the SBS SMTP Connector receives the mail but the extrernal SMTP server (according to the logs) never receives mail send by mobile phones. All other send mail (Outlook, OWA) is received and deliverd fine.

I'm at a loss where to look. Any suggestions?

    Does message tracking show anything?
Have you tried using the Mobile6 emulator to see if it works the same?
    cheers

Message Tracking does not show anything different than any other email. It ends with message transferred to <server> through SMTP.

I have a Windows Mobile Emulator running for continious testing.

If your SMTP server says it sent it and the receiving SMTP server says it didn't get it then there is something between them as yours cannot get that far without the recipient one acknowledging it. If you can get full logs can you post them (without personal info).

I have seen some antispam services block the messages.
