  • Forwarding mail to 2 Exchange servers

    Hi all,
I have 2 Exchange 2003 Servers that work seperatly (same domain diffrent store)
I have the Mail router/antispam forward the mail to a DNS address that forwards the mail to each Exchange server.

    1. Is this method for transfering mail problematic for Exchange to handle?
    2. Will it create duplicate mail?
    3. has anyone tried this?

    Thanks!

Re: Forwarding mail to 2 Exchange servers

If the servers are in the same domain, then simply have the email delivered to one or other of the servers and then let Exchange sort it out. If the appliance can support sending email to two locations then it most likely will not be simultaneous, it will be one or the other, so email will not be duplicated.

    Simon.
