  • Client cannot connect to Exchange Server2003

    I try connecting my users MS Outlook to my Exchange Server 2003 and the error I am getting is saying 'The name could not be matched to a name in the address list'. Please all the Exchange gurus out there help me resolve these issue. Thanks.

    Is the person you are setting up hidden in the GAL? Have you tried their logon or their full name?

    Does it work if you try to set-up other users (like yourself)?

      Is it a complete new installation of the exchange or is it a migrated system?

      We had the same problem with some old accounts we migrated from nt4.0 and exchange 5.5. We solved it by checking the userdetails in the AD. When migrating users only the information stored in the old NT-Account was migrated. Check if the login-name is filled in as "User Logon Name" with the matching domain.

      another suggestion: try it with entering as DOMAIN\userlogin
