  • Bulk of NDR emails, some 3 months old.

    Hi,

    (Using Exchange 2003 SP2)

Some user just received bulk of NDS emails, some dating from February. All of them are tagged with the Object being "Notification Of Deposit". Some of the NDR reasons are as follows:

    smtp;450 4.7.1 <[email protected]>: Recipient address rejectred: Please try again in 30 minutes>

    smtp;450 <[email protected]>: Recipient address rejectred: Service temporarily unavailable>

Anyway, the NDR reason isn't very important, the fact is that some emails were sent in February and March and the NRD was delivered yesterday after the server reboot. I'm just looking for a way to make sure this won't happen again and i'd like to know how i can monitor NDR messages being issued.

Looking forward for some tips !

    Best regards,

    trep

    That is the greylisting bug.
Not a lot you can do about it unfortunately. The messages usually appear when the server is rebooted.

See this thread I contributed on back in December:
