  • Monitor Mailbox permissions

    Hi,

My helpdesk people change Mailbox permissions of users sometimes while working on problems and for giving permissions to other persons. Is there any way I can monitor mailbox permissions changes from active directory? Can this be accomplished with the help of a script?

    Re: Monitor Mailbox permissions

You could turn up logging so that the permission change is logged in the event logs of the domain controllers. However you will need to use something to search the logs and find the changes.

What would the event ID be for something like that? Maybe EventComb would be good.

No idea on the event ID. I don't have access to a system with it enabled to check at present. Turn the logging on and then look for an event that shows what you want. You may have to experiment with the logging to get what you want and not drown out anything of interest.
